St. David Pioneer Days

July 19 – 20 History – Parade – Games – BBQ
Vendors – Music – Fireworks

Nearly every summer since St. David was settled in 1877, our community has celebrated “Pioneer Day” on the Saturday closest to July 24, a date of significance to those early settlers because of their connection to Mormon pioneers who had first arrived in the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847.

Pioneer Day in St. David, originally organized by local units of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has become a community affair, celebrating our local history and culture.

The St. David Heritage Society is coordinating the events, with volunteers from local churches, the PTO, and school groups, in the hope that we can sustain meaningful traditions in a way that strengthens our community and its families.

Who doesn’t love parades, frog races, watermelon contests, barbecues, foot rodeos, dancing under the stars and fireworks?

Information is also posted on our website and Facebook page as well. Please share dates and information with all those who have been a part of the St. David community or who love this area.
